"The crystal pearls are intrinsic to the themes of my S/S 09 collection. Every reference from my main area of research seemed to incorporate pearls. This led me to choose these components over more reflective options; the pearls seemed ripe for reinterpretation. I especially like the modest effect that the crystal pearls have on colour."
