National Park Hohe Tauern, the largest national park in the Alps, is one of the most important European water collection areas. It provides millions of people in several countries with water for their homes, agriculture and industry. Since 1993, Swarovski has been the national park’s key corporate partner and has invested in a series of long-term projects ranging from the highly successful educational “Waterschool” program to the construction of a observation tower in the shape of a mountain crystal. Located at the Emperor Franz Joseph Height, which overlooks the largest glacier of the Eastern Alps, the observation tower has become a much-visited landmark.
